DeltaOne Posted July 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2014 Hello, is there anything off the beaten path that most don't know about or not very typical of tourist attractions? Places or restaurants to check out,,,,,, other than the to do's and must do's that everyone mentions? We never visit Bermuda without lunch or dinner at the Hog Penny Pub in Hamilton. Just off of Front Street. Our tradition is the Bermuda Fish Chowder. When served they'll offer a shot of dark rum and hot sherry sauce -- be sure to get both. It's very good. We had a nice meal and adult beverage at the White Horse Inn in St. George. If it's a nice day you can sit on their deck overlooking the canal. The Maritime Museum at the Dockyard is fun and interesting. BEUI in Flatts Village too. While exploring on our rented scooter we happened upon Fort Scaur. Lovely quiet place with nice views of the Dockyard. Many overlook Elbow Beach -- but it's wide, flat and lovely.

jollyjones Posted July 8, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) Get the fun bus when you get off the St Georges ferry and go to Turtle beach and then walk through the gates and on to Cooper's Island. That is about as far as you can get off the beaten path - I go there whenever I can find an excuse to drive up there, it's so beautiful. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2065460 Edited July 8, 2014 by jollyjones
