What to do do 24 hours in Kobe?

on our Kobe stop. we went to Himeji Castle ...very easy to do on your own...

Get on the port liner (right by the port/cruise terminal) for around 2-3 minutes which will take you to Sannomiya station....Buy tickets for Himeji - it will take anywhere from 37 minutes to close to one hour, depending if you take the express or limited express....... there will be a board indicating which times are the express.

From the station, you can see Himeji Castle up ahead of you...Just walk the broad avenue (approx 15 minutes?).

You could opt to stay i. Kobe, there are numerous things to do, but we really enjoyed Himeji Castle and its garden.

You can also catch a train to Kyoto - a beautiful city with many shrines and temples and wonderful gardens to tour. We are planning to do this in October and have arranged a tour of Kyoto with a personal guide through Tours by Locals.

Have a wonderful time in Japan.
