Hotel and Parking Question (Ft. Lauderdale)

Can anyone recommend a good and decently priced hotel near the port in Ft. Lauderdale or somewhere around there? Also, we plan to park at a park-and-ride type of place and were wondering if anyone can give advice of a good one. Thanks

We used the Hyatt Place near the Harbor shops, in September. You can park for up to 7 nights, and $5.00 for any additional days. It was about $139.00 including the room for one night.

How was the shuttle to and from the port? Prompt or did you have to wait?

Since you didn't give us the date and you didn't share a ball park budget, it's tough to say where you should stay.

There are some nice chain hotels nearer the airport that offer parking for your car while cruising. Some will shuttle you to the port. Go to stay123.com for some choices.

If you stay nearer the port, a couple of those hotels have cruise packages that include the parking...like Embassy suites and maybe Hyatt Place North. Most don't.

Browse thru these threads. Lots of recs here.
