Sofa bed for 3.5 yo

This will be our 4th cruise with odd. She will be 3.5 but this is the first time she is cruising in a big girl bed. Ydd will be 8 months and in a crib. My question is- we have guard rails on her bed at home. What do you use in place of those on a ship? If it helps we are on the carnival pride in one of the premium balconies (so it's oversized)

On our last cruise we had my 2 almost 3 year old sleep on the sofa (not pulled out). My 16 month old was in a pack n play pushed next to the couch, so it kind of acted like a guard rail.

It's not that high....but yes...push the P&P up against it...that should hold her in! Or, turn the sofa to face the wall and don't open it into a bed! Just let her sleep on the sofa.
