Eagle Beach

We are going to Eagle beach and would like to know what part of the beach would be best if we want shade? Also are their public rest rooms on the beach?

We really enjoy Eagle and have spent 2 weeklong vacations in the area. The central part of the beach (near the Amsterdam Manor) is really not that large, and if you use a taxi they will drop you close to this area. The local buses also stop a couple of places along the beach. There is some limited shade on the back of the beach if you can pull a lounger under some of the palms. But otherwise, you should consider just renting a couple of chairs and umbrella. There are some rest rooms on the beach (near the beach bar).

Go near the Tulip restaurant for 10.00 per person you can get a chaise and use the bathrooms at Tulip. They also have an outdoor shower and changing room. It is by a small motel but you won't see that sign. The bus stop is essentially right by Tulip which is near the Amsterdam Manor but a less crowded beach. If you get there early enough you can get some shade if there are palapas still available. Otherwise in the back there are some trees but be careful there is lots of broken glass so it is better to be closer to the water.

Thanks for the tip. Are there any public rest rooms on the beach or do you have to use the restaurants and hotels facilities?

Also is there a charge for getting a palapa if you don't rent any chairs?

Love Aruba. We have rented condos at Oceania on Eagle Beach the last few years. There are palapas out front but no public restrooms. Next door is the Tulip and I do think they have a restroom across from them at the beach bar. There is also several vendors that rent chairs and umbrellas in the area. Shade under the Divi trees is free.

Is the bus stop for the Tulip before or after the Amsterdam Manor stop?

They don't announce stops, and also don't stop at every bus stop unless someone wants to get off there. You will need to tell him to let you know when you get there. They will do that for you.
