Summit and Breakaway

Watching live feed in the Harbor. Is it my inexperience of watching this or did the Summit come in and then turn around to go back out?

Oh - so it comes down farther down the river (closer to the ocean), turns around and lets Breakaway come through?

Summit turned north to sail past the Statue of Liberty, made a 180 degree turn and is now sailing south again. It must be something new because I've never seen her do that.

I have been watching for about 4 weeks now and hadn't seen that either - so I was a bit confused.

Last Sunday - saw the Queen Mary. That was pretty cool.

I wish when departing Miami the NCL ships would pivot in front of the American Airlines Arena (home of the Heat) when departing instead of early in the morning when returning. Would seem like a fun way to start the cruise instead of early in the morning the last day when not many people are up and about.

Also there is portnywebcam- that shows the Breakaway coming out of the dock. Then when she gets down the river, I go to nyharborwebcam for the rest of the river.

It is a lot of fun. I listen to the marine radio, too.

Here is a nice shot of Breakaway departing this afternoon. I wish my iPad had the marine traffic radio sounds.
