Madeira...Best Half Day Trips

Hello all,

Can anybody recommended any good half day trips on Madeira. Already considering Pearl of Atlantic just wondered if anybody else could recommended.

4 Adults not keen on jeeps looking for mini bus if possible.

I've copied my post from earlier this year. We used an eight person minibus, but they have prices for four passengers. I really enjoyed this trip, (wear an extra layer if you go, it can get windy in places):-

We used Madeira Island Taxis a few weeks ago and had a wonderful half day. We took the tour to Nun's Valley, Eira do Serrado and Camara de lobos. Our driver Manuel was an excellent guide.

Hi, our half-day tour is 65 euro for 4, or 80 for 8. There are other options available. Hopefully this more up-to-date link should work:

Nuns Valley and Cabo Girao for half a day. €10-15 each is typical.

Hi kazu, I'm looking at Daniels tours for this October, can I ask which one you did? I only want a 4-5 hour tour as we depart at 1700, & I like to be back in plenty of time. We did the amazing nuns valley trip last year through happytours, very good & very reasonable. (although my husband was a nervous wreck at the sheer mountain drops & cliff edge roads!) [emoji85]

In fact, I posted above we depart at 1700 .....its actually 1500! [emoji35] Not happy, my over cautious nature will mean I'll want to be back at port for 1330-1400 ish [emoji53]

I don't know when your cruise is but Madeira including Funchal, has been badly affected by forest fires recently. I believe some port calls there have been cancelled.
