So, which excursion? Royal Caribbean offers three that we found interesting:

the Falls and Green Grotto Caves

the Falls and Reggae Hill

the Falls and relaxing at Dolphin Cove

I'm kind of drawn to Reggae Hill or Dolphin Cove, they include lunch and music and relaxing. Boyfriend is interested in the caves.

Are the caves worth it?

Be an awesome person and skip the captive dolphin stuff. ;)

I was just doing some research it looks like Reggae Hill is a new tourist oriented spot they setup on the White River. The caves have a rich cultural and natural history to them and is not something that was purpose built for tourist so I would choose Falls and Caves. :)

Plus, your boyfriend wants to go there!!! LOL :D

Yes, skip the captive dolphin stuff. Those dolphins are not always treated well.

I would do reggae hill, but I don't love caves. Make sure you climb up the falls. I went up the steps to the side of the falls and wish I had climbed the falls. On the other hand, we had a guide who took us up the steps solo so we got our photo ops and some nice rum punch on the way to the resort where we spent the afternoon.

A couple cruises back we did the falls and caves.

Glad we did.

Wear sturdy shoes for the caves, no flip flops or sandals.

Can get slippery.

The history and details presented by guides was well done.

There is a concession stand and clean restrooms there.

Take small bills.

DH bought three waters for $1 and gave a $10 and got 7 Jamaica whatevers as change.

Take a small flashlight (Like a key chain one) for the underground lake, awesome, and it will also help you get down the spiral staircase.

At dunns we could leave our stuff on locked bus, we did not get a locker.

The climb was challenging but do-able with a guide, we changed into our water shoes and it was a nice pace, a little slippery and some rocks and holes along the way, but the guide was great. We tipped him.

The vendors on the way to the restrooms here are very rude and aggressive, just keep walking and ignore their rants.

Enjoy, we did.

Safe travels
