San Diego Sheraton pre-cruise

We're scheduled to stay at The Sheraton Hotel-Marina Oct 9th 2014 pre cruise Westerdam.

Most of the reviews on TA were ok. Just wondering if any HAL folks have stayed and any feedback.

I've stayed there but it was a few years ago. I thought it was fine. My only minor complaint was that it was a little far from what I call the downtown area but I enjoyed it.

We've stayed there a couple of years ago, no complaints. As above poster said, not much around but in hotel there is a nice bar area. :)

Lovely wowed across the harbor - great seeing your ship coming in if you wake early. There were a couple of pretty good restaurants around the marina - just a five minute walk.

Besides the weather, the Airport, Cruise Terminal, Train Terminal, Convention center, Petco Park stadium, light City rail, IRS & Federal offices, and many restaurants/hotels are located within a few blocks of each other! All Downtown! :)

It is a large hotel and nice, but not close to anything you can walk to. I stayed there years ago for a converence. Beautiful marina views. But I am booking dh into a hotel for one night when he debarks there and am looking for something closer to the port or airport. So not on that peninsula/spit. But if you are a runner it was a great place for the morning run!
