IWantToLiveOverTheSea Posted November 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2015 We are wondering what to do on a 7 hour stop in St. John NB other than seeing the reversing falls. We have been to St. John and want something different. I am willing to rent a car or take a ferry but with only 6 1/2 hours sightseeing seems limited. Suggestions would be appreciated. forwardho Posted November 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2015 I just received their Offical Visitor Guide and it gives a lot of information and ideas for excursions and maps. Not sure what we will do on our upcoming cruise. We took the Pink Bus last time we were there and did all three loops. It was enough time to see the city, the museum, stop for a beer and see the falls twice.
maryann ns Posted November 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2015 If you spell it Saint John when doing your research you will get more information as that is the proper spelling. BarbinMich Posted November 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2015 We've been to St. John both by land and by sea. On our latter visit, we enjoyed walking around the historic area by the port and into the nearby downtown area where there's and underground mall of sorts that stretches from the Museum up to the City Market (about 7 blocks). If the weather's nice, it's a pleasant walk above ground!
Racer70 Posted November 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2015 Rent a car and drive over to the St. Martin sea caves and then drive the Fundy Trail Parkway. It's a little less than an hour drive from St. John. It well worth your time. The scenery is breathtaking. http://fundytrailparkway.com/
