Parking @ Southampton

I would recommend driving down the day before if possible, traffic can be very variable. The last thing you want is a rush on cruise day!

If you do this several hotels offer parking, overnight and breakfast for a reasonable price. We enjoyed the Holiday Inn offering...

Cruise port parking charges have varied, look at the website and enter your dates. If you also search 'Southampton cruise parking' there are a variety of other options....

As a final point if you have any flexibility in travel the area around Southampton has so many nice places to visit. Before our next Southampton cruise we have booked a two night stay at an old Inn in the New Forest. Our drive to the port cruise sailing morning will be 15 miles. We will board having already enjoyed a mini holiday!

We used CPS, but sailed on Princess. We paid £156 for 14 nights in May.

In the past we have parked with APB, when sailing with Eclipse, but we had it 'free' as part of a balcony booking. Next year we are considering using Chilworth Manor ( Best Western hotel)

They provide free parking, breakfast and transfer to the port ( so we have been told) I cannot quote you a price, as we are sailing 23.06.18, so cannot book as yet.

We park dockside with ABP, cost just under £100 for 2 weeks. We decided to stay overnight at Winchester for a change this time rather than in Southampton. Not far away but turned out to be stressful drive due to 3 accidents on the motorway between Winchester and Southampton. Thank goodness for satnav!

Both companies have dock side parking.

CPS take your car away for you and give you a receipt. Don't loose it, as you need it to claim your car keys at the end of the cruise.

APB directs you to the car park and you then walk to the ship with your carry on luggage.

We have always used ABP. Their parking lots are inside the security gates, you park it and you keep your keys and are about a 2 minute walk to check in. They take your luggage at your car. You can book them online, though call them first and ask for the 10% discount code. Every little bit helps!

We travel down in the day, about 160'miles, several options in the event of roadworks. In our experience the last 15 miles are the worst! :-) we now ignore the signs for the port that take you on the ring road (and queues) and head straight through the city

Things to take into account

How many ships are in

Is there a football match on
