Shearings crusie ship mv esmeralda

anybody out there been on SHEARING'S MV ESMERALDA.

Looking to go on this next August, any thoughts on this cruise ship.

The cruise is GREAT CITIES OF THE DANUBE:)

Have you googled this ship? Doesn't look like the accommodations pictured on most river cruise lines. Very basic twin beds, one is a couch during the day, the other folded intot he wall. Shearings's is the travel agency. not the owner of the ship. EM

Shearings is a coach firm. You will get transport to the Danube, maybe with an overnight stop and perhaps with the options of excursions from the boat. The boat will not be like any ocean cruiser, it is a different experience. Smaller cabin, beds folded away, 3 meals with a small choice, perhaps some entertainment - possibly a keyboard player on a dancefloor. On the other hand, you more up every afternoon, right in the middle of a town, walk into town and see more of the country. We have done both and enjoyed them. Do not compare to Viking cruises but then again the prices don't compare. We have done similar with Leger, there are some reviews on C C.
