Hello ladies, I have a black, long, sleeveless velvet dress would it work being velvet for a Nov. southern caribbean cruise? Or too hot and better for c cooler cruise?

Although you will fin the ships air con comfortable, if you plan to even stick your nose outside you will be very hot in velvet. Also IMHO it would scream winter.

When I see Velvet I think winter. In the Caribbean it's summer all year long.

We cruised the Caribbean in January, and I wore sleeveless dresses. I would save the velvet for a different route.

I agree totally. Velvet would not be appropriate on this cruise.
