Flo71 Posted July 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2014 Last cruise was with celebrity where you withdraw money from your cruise account or use cash, can't remember the arrangements when last on P&O. Do you charge your cruise card at the tables or take out cash at the casino cashier desk? Also have read the slots can charge your cruise card so does this mean they are cashless or can you use cash in them too? Thank you x
Host Sharon Posted July 21, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2014 I think it may depend on the ship. Certainly you can withdraw cash on your card to use in the casino but it will cost an extra percentage to do so. Personally I always take a little cash with me just for this purpose. It maybe that on the new bigger ships you can input your card like on Cunard and Princess but I don't sail on those so can't answer the question there. Hi Sharon, They have dropped the extra fee now you get what you ask for. Generally you get your money from the cage. But on Azura they would give you cash at the tables. On Azura also the machines will take your cruise card. They do not have tokens at all. Not sure if this has been put into Ventura yet. BrianI Posted July 21, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2014 You can withdraw sterling cash from reception and charged to your account at no extra cost. Host Sharon Posted July 21, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2014 Thanks for that info. Of course, since I took cash I wouldn't have noticed, especially since I only use the machines!
moswinner1 Posted July 23, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Played Slots on Ventura in May and Put Cash (notes) in machine, was lucky enough to win, the machines do not pay out cash, you have to put your cruise card into slot and create a pin for it, then you can put your winnings onto card. This I did and then went straight to booth and got my cash.:cool:
