JohninDC Posted August 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2014 Where is your cruise from and when? Coz is on Central time - so if you are leaving from FLA you will be in port 10-7 local time. Mexico changes on/off daylight savings time on a different schedule from the US - so you could pick up another hour depending upon your cruise dates. Coz is an island, so most of the attractions are centered around the beach and water - snorkeling, scuba, fishing, swim with the dolphins, etc. I'd get off the ship ASAP and head to the beach - lots of beach clubs with a variety of features lined up along one side of the island. What are you and your cruise partners interested in? All-inclusive? Water toys? Kids club? Great snorkeling from the shore?

JohninDC Posted August 25, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2014 Unless there is a storm, which means your ship will go somewhere else, I have never seen it rain in Coz for more than 10-15 minutes. Head for the beach of your choice! :D
mrsfuzzmo Posted August 26, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2014 Don't forget to think about seasonal sunlight. We were there in Dec. and it was getting dark by 6:00 pm. In June, it's light until almost 10:00 pm. What time of year are you going? Our Dec. cruise we were in port from 1 pm - 10 pm. We had enough daylight/sunshine to do a two hour water excursion (personal mini-subs), hang out at the beach for an hour and walk around town a bit before it started gettting dark. We love San Miguel after dark. All sparkly with lights and music playing. The town squared is well lit and very inviting. When we were ready to head back to the ship, we hopped in a cab and rode back. Once there, we stopped for another hour to hang out at the bar at the end of the pier until the very last call.
