Baltic Cruise on Viking Sea - Stockholm & Oslo Problems

River boats do not travel that far. And, they have 50+ boats in Europe so there is often another Viking Ship about to arrive in most ports.

Ocean boats/ships travel further and across the sea. They can not just keep using the same buses. So, they book via 3rd parties.

We are booked on this on Sept. 3. We are having reservations about taking this after the recent bombing in Stockholm & bomb in Oslo. We were spending 2 extra days in Stockholm & at the end taking the train from Bergen to Oslo & spending 3 days in Oslo on our own. We have already booked our business class flights.

I believe we have until May 2 to cancel the cruise. The flight may be an issue.

We were really looking forward to it, but now we are feeling very uneasy. Anyone else having reservations about this trip?

We just got back from this trip and didn't have any issues. We felt safe in all of the cities we visited. It is a great trip. We took the train to Oslo as well. It is a beautiful train ride. Not sure if you are planning to buy food on the train but we heard that it was not very good and rather expensive. We bought sandwiches at the station but another couple ordered sandwiches from room service the night before to bring on the trip and took the chips from the mini bar. I would say go on the trip but be alert at all times.

You could die, or get maimed anywhere in the world from an act of international or home grown terrorism. No place is safe anymore. Or, you could even die from an illness during your cruise. FWIW, it is in God's hands whether you live or die.

So, don't let fear deter you from travel.

And, if God wills, grant you continued good health, to live and not die before your next cruise.

Have fun on your cruise. ;)
