Motel/apartment central Wellington?

Can anyone recommmend a motel or small apartment in Wellington? Thinking of spending some time there and would prefer to self-cater rather than have to eat in restaurants every night.

A few years ago, we stayed at the Quest Wellington Serviced apartments, corner of Lambton Quay and Hunter Street, in the CBD. It's an old building converted into apartments, it was very clean, situated just around the corner from Willis Street, where there is a supermarket named "New World", which is on the right walking a short way up Willis Street.

We've stayed at Quest on Johnston which was a good location, however be aware that some of the one bedroom apartments have very small bedrooms, as in just big enough for a bed and no more, with barely room to move around them. Very claustrophobic. We were lucky to be able to get moved to a different apartment for our stay.

However those apartments might be OK for a single. They did have a reasonable sized lounge/dining/kitchen area.
