Thank you, Veterans

Thanks to all veterans and those who have served and are serving our country in the military.

I have to share this. We had a small parade and dedication of a statue of a soldier at a park in our neighborhood - Veterans Park. At one point a guy walked up and asked DH if he was a veteran - he is. Handed him this letter from a grade school student. I imagine they were handing them out to others too.

And we had the big flag out too.

Ahhh, that letter is darling. What a sweetheart little Stephanie must be.

First - thank you so much to those who currently serve, those who have served, and to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Second - As the wife of a military officer (17 yrs Navy) and the daughter of a Viet Nam Vet I think it is wonderful how everyone is honoring our Vets today. I spent the morning at a wonderful ceremony and then watched many more on tv today and I am truly touched by the outpouring of love and respect shown for Vets of all ages.

It seems like we have finally found something that we can all (well almost all - someone correct me LOL) agree on - those that serve/have served are TRUE HEROES!

PS - Love that letter from Stephanie - she says it all!

Thank you to all the veterans who have served that we might enjoy the freedoms we have today. These brave men and their families are indeed heroes.
