When does rum cake go bad after opening?

My mom got me rum cake from Bermuda during her cruise back in October. I opened it in mid November and haven't finished it. It looks good (still nice and moist), I don't see mold or anything. Think it's still okay to eat?

What are the instructions for storage after opening? If to be refrigerated I personally would dispose of it right away.

If it is moist and no mold visible, and especially if it is rum soaked, I would still eat it:D

The alcohol will keep it preserved for quite a while...that's why fruit cakes last forever!!!
