Europe cruise cabin selection

Well, assuming you're going for the sightseeing, and not so much "relaxation", it's probably less important, as you'll be off the ship more...BUT...I would still want to have the balcony, if it were me. I like having immediate access to the outdoors, and being able to see the sights from my own space while hubby is getting ready....I won't sail without a balcony, assuming the ship has them!

But, if you're trying to save a bit of $$, then you can certainly have a good time without...it's really up to your comfort level!

The only time I did not use our balcony was when we were in Alaska. It was simply too cold every day to use it. On all of our other cruises, we have had a balcony, and I have used it -- to sightsee going into and out of port, sit and read, or just sit and watch the ocean. It's my preference. DW does not use it much ever.
