What to do Aruba 8am to 11pm

We will be in Aruba from 8am to 11pm. Just wondering what others have done. We've spent our land vacations at the Occidental and just wondering what to do in this time frame.

Lots of suggestions if you simply scroll down this page and read a few threads. Also, you can look online at the Aruba forum on tripadvisor or a travel webpage such as frommers.com.

We will be stopping at Aruba in August and will be in port during the same time mentioned by the OP. I plan to rent a Jeep and explore the island on my own with a focus on Arikok National Park.

Question to the OP, Nana57: This will be my first visit to Aruba. I understand the island is well suited to self-exploration with a decent road infrastructure. I plan to have a Borch Aruba map handy. Anything I should be concerned about driving around? Any other comments you might be able to provide based on your past experiences will be appreciated.

We shopped for a while, then went to the beach for the afternoon....then headed back to the ship to clean up, then back out for dinner ashore, and some time in the casinos!
