Fascination casino is fairly small but has most every type of game. There us a two sided Bank of video poker gabe's right in front of the cage (unless they moved then since March). The host was there but not too in your face.

How is the casino on the Fascination? Are there video poker machines? How is the entertainment?

Just got off Fascination and will be doing a review but we did enjoy the entertainment. I didn't use the casino but did notice that the slots used only cash. The cave charged 5.5% to get cash with a $5.50 minimum.

All slot machines on the Fascination (and I'm pretty sure all Carnival ships) are set up to accept cash but also funds from your Sail and Sign card. Actually, you can set up your casino account using the card readers in the machines. All winnings can be transferred to your S&S account to use or to cash out later at the cashier. If you don't set up a casino account and play a few (and I mean just a few) "pulls" on a machine you will be charged for cash withdrawals at the cage. Otherwise, you'll just be cashing out with no penalties. This is useful if you want to cash out any remaining funds on your S&S account on the last night of the cruise at the casino and by-pass the lines at the kiosks or guest services to do so.

I saw a place to insert money and a place to insert a players club card on the machines that I looked at. Unless the players club card reader also accepted the sail and sign card I did not see anywhere to insert that. If the players club card reader did accept the S&S it wasn't marked as such.

The slot you saw for the players club is for your S&S card. It is your players club and you set up a pin number to move your casino money from machine to machine and get points for play.

By not making that more transparent (by proper labeling) they are costing themselves money. I would have done a little gambling had I known that and I'm sure I'm not the only one. As I recall the machines on the Pride were clearly labeled that they accepted S&S cards.
