Venice cruise port to Marco Polo airport - Land based Taxi

RCCL May 2017 Cruise ends in Venice Sat am, plan to do express walk off if they offer it or earliest possible departure.

Anyone know if Taxis ( cars etc) are lined up like in other ports to meet the ships arriving or is Venice a unique situation and you somehow have to pre book. I see lots of threads on the ATV express bus etc and water taxis but not this method

Appreciate any info from cruisers who has experienced same.

I have the same question (but am on a different ship) & would also appreciate any private taxi recommendations- we will be cutting it close!

It seems to be hit or miss how many taxis are available as you disembark and certainly how many other ships in dock affect supply and demand

We prebooked a taxi and he was waiting in arrival area with sign with our name on

Thanks! Would you recommend your taxi? What company did you use?

We have used an online company taxi-finder.com which contact local firms in several countries and you then book with them directly

We had great success in Venice but not so much in London and Barcelona

Depending on the company, I think it ranges 45-65 Euro.

In my very recent experience, 35-40 euro.
