Costco in Kailua Kona, Big Island

The last time we were there, about 4 years ago, yes, you did need to be a member

 

Costco gas was the cheapest on the island at that time (American Express only)

 

Other folks may have more recent information

The Costco in Kona is no different from any other in the US. I was about to say "Yes", but decided to look it up and found this article:

It's still basically "Yes", but they mention a Costco Cash Card that might be a possibility. There's another issue, however - the Costco is about 5 miles from the pier, so you'd need to figure taxi fare into your 'cost savings' unless you have a rental car.

 

Is there something specific you're interested in? There are other possibilities, such as Target and Walmart that are closer to the pier.
