Mjflowers Posted January 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Did I read correctly that Regent is introducing Youth Programs on select cruises?Oh Oh. That will not sit well with some Regent Regulars. I have read in the past on the negative comments on minors on board. Could we be looking at another deal breaker?
Travelcat2 Posted January 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2014 There have been youth programs (called Mariners Club as I recall) forever. Most of us avoid those cruises. I am currently on a cruise (no Mariners Club) with 30 children under the age of 20. They were little angels for a week and now are monsters. The only place they can congregate is the stairs. To be fair, Regent has tried to give them a few things to do and the dancers have given them a dance class. I understand that some young people have been raised to act appropriately in a luxury adult environment. I wonder what the rest of the parents are thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rare RachelG Posted January 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2014 As travelcat says, this is nothing new. My boys did the mariners club back in the old radisson days and enjoyed it. It is more common to see this on Alaska cruises and during the summer.
