After the cruise

Leaving on the Magic December 6 out of Galveston. Wondering what to do since our flight doesn't leave out of Houston until 9:00 that night. Is there a place to hold our bags or I guess we go and sit at the airport until our flight leaves. What to do?

Leaving on the Magic December 6 out of Galveston. Wondering what to do since our flight doesn't leave out of Houston until 9:00 that night. Is there a place to hold our bags or I guess we go and sit at the airport until our flight leaves. What to do?

Cruise lines usually offer excursions at the disembark port for those whose flights leave after 2 PM. That would fill some of the time until your 9 PM flight. They would then drop you at the airport (with your bags) and you would be able to check in, get thru security and have a meal before boarding. Check for excursions in Houston on disembark day.

Not cheap option... but rent a car in Houston. Park it in Galveston. Then, the last day you could do almost anything you want. We spent some time touring Galveston and then Houston Space center.

Just something to keep in mind, in case you didn't know.... the Galveston cruise terminal and Houston Hobby airport are fairly far apart. About 45 minutes.

We always rent a car in these situations. Great place to store your luggage and you can do whatever you want that day.
