Billfish1949 Posted April 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2017 Hello people. I will travelling to Seattle on Explorer in a couple of weeks and was wondering if it is allowable to take bulk bottled water and soft drinks on board. While cruising last year on a Princess cruise we were allowed to take as much as much as we wanted with no costs involved. Am I able to do this on Explorer? Thanks
Clarea Posted April 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2017 Any amount of water and soda is technically prohibited. However, they usually don't enforce that.
iahawkfan21 Posted April 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2017 As Bob said, it's hit or miss if they enforce their own rule on it. You can always try and worst case is they confiscate it and you're out a few dollars.
gerif Posted April 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2017 At some ports - again, hit or miss - the porters will insist that you carry it on yourself. Good idea to put it in a rolling duffle.

Merion_Mom Posted April 6, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 6, 2017 Since the OP is embarking out of Sydney, Australia, Port Canaveral experience is probably irrelevant. ;)

Merion_Mom Posted April 6, 2017 #8 Share Posted April 6, 2017 Thank you for the input, much appreciated. I just boarded in Sydney, and "everyone" I know carried on their drinks with no problem. Some even waltzed on with extra bottles of wine, beyond the allowed two per stateroom. ;) (we didn't )

This is especially important as I usually have a hard time making up my mind ;p

I managed to get two out of jail in the first couple of days, but will have to wait until turnaround day to get the other two.
