girlscruise2011 Posted April 26, 2014 #51 Share Posted April 26, 2014 Could the same way we had an extra. Gina emailed everyone and asked if it was okay if we included 1 more. I would assume that this was a group that contacted her and specifically requested 18 people. Yes, we had 13 also. Gina emailed us and asked if it was ok. To me, that shows what type of business she runs. I would think if you were a whole group of 18, as long as her license allows it, she would do a private charter. waterbugohio Posted June 18, 2014 #53 Share Posted June 18, 2014 great thread. Will have to check out this calabaza. We did Silvermoon in 2008 and thought it was wonderful. Doing Adventure next March and thought the one tour we know we wanted to do again was with Silvermoon. But after reading this thread, may have to switch it up. Just love this site. Thanks for all the opinions
girlscruise2011 Posted June 19, 2014 #54 Share Posted June 19, 2014 How were you able to get her to go over her # of 12? I am returning to Barbados in November 2015 with the great group that I am sailing with this November on the Splendor Repo. As soon as I booked the cruise, I emailed Gina, over 500 days out and reserved the cat for our group. Since we are a private group, she is allowing us to go up to 15 people. cruiseguy1016 Posted June 28, 2014 #55 Share Posted June 28, 2014 We used Cool Runnings for a catamaran tour two years ago. We stopped to swim with turtles, stopped to snorkel over a ship wreck and stopped in a tranquil cove for lunch. We've been on 7 cruises, we've stopped at most of the islands in the southern Caribbean and our day with Cool Runnings is the best shore excursion we have ever been on. firstcruiserDB Posted June 30, 2014 #56 Share Posted June 30, 2014 Just returned from our sailing on the Jewel of the Seas, and just wanted to say that everything you read about Gina and the Calabaza are TRUE!! It was a fabulous day! Snorkeling was awesome, food was delicious, and Gina and her crew were wonderful hosts. We couldn't have been happier, and we will, MOST CERTAINLY, sail with them again one day!
Cruising Lions Posted July 12, 2014 #57 Share Posted July 12, 2014 We did both. Gina and calabaza nudge out silver moon slightly. Don't shy away from silver moon if calabaza is booked full Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
