Krazy Kruizers Posted October 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2016 Our summer was super hot with little rain. Thus the fall foliage is terrible around here. Most of the trees have brown leaves -- no color to them. But we had one section of a tree that did produce some pretty colors.

Rare pierces Posted October 24, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted October 24, 2016 Where there's smoke, there's usually some kind of tasty food in the process of getting tastier. In this case, it is billows of apple wood smoke turning our latest batch of bacon into something special. Where There's Smoke... Dave

zackiedawg Posted October 26, 2016 #11 Share Posted October 26, 2016 Weekend wildlife time again - from this past weekend, when Florida actually got 1-2 days of 'cool front' weather, which meant it was only in the mid-80s instead of mid-90s and with the humidity cut in half. Mix of lenses used on the Sony A6300 body - either the Tamron 150-600mm or the Sony FE70-300mm G OSS: Fluffy little pied-billed grebe (Tamron): Squawking monk parakeet (Sony): Lovely green heron (Sony): Anhinga with a big fish catch (Sony): "walk this way, talk this way...wal"...oh wait, maybe don't walk this way - there appears to be something laying in the path!:
