Option if you miss the ferry?

We are visiting Tortola for the first time this fall. Would like to visit the baths and also possibly do Mineshaft Cafe. We are in that port from 8-4 pm. Looking at the ferry schedule, the 9 am ferry seems like the best best with Speedys, but the only ferry back that would work with them is the 12:40 one, which doesn't seem like it would give us enough time to truly experience what we wanted. Smiths does offer one that leaves at 2:15 which sounds perfect, but if for some crazy reason if the cab driver gets delayed, would we have another option?

lol we don't plan to, but I'm a "plan ahead for plan z" kind of person so it would be nice to know if there was a back up....how far is the Mineshaft from the Baths? Do you hire someone to wait or are there always taxis available to go between them and the ferry area?

You'll find a driver that will drop you and pick you up at the Baths and at the Minershaft, no worries. We usually don't pay the driver until we're back at STown. So just let your driver know your plans and you'll be just fine

Don't forget to try the Cave In at the Mineshaft Cafe - "It's all in the Juice, mon!" ;)

Ferries are quite regular. To have a liesurely lunch and a Cave In I'd have the driver return in 1.5 hours if you have that much time. If time is limited you can eat at the Top of the Baths, or at the Bath & Turtle in Spanishtown. One of the ferries offers a package that includes lunch at the B&T, you can shop in town and walk back to the ferry.

We like relaxing at the Mineshaft for the view and lunch but the B&T is another option if you want to see Spanishtown.

You can google all of these places.
