We were in the Bahamas on Oct 28th when we were on our cruise. We did a Segway excursion that took us to Junkanoo Beach which is just outside of town. We said that if we ever vacation in Nassau we'd definitely go there. It has ok restrooms, cleaner than I expected. There's a nice hut-like restaurant that was really hopping. The water seemed very nice. You could see the port to the right.

We much prefer getting a day pass to the Melia. It is worth it. Cable Beach is very nice and the Melia has good amenities. Have tried other beaches.

Hi April,

What specifically about Cable Beach do you prefer? I was thinking of going to the free part of cable beach after a visit to the astrada zoo and fish fry. I would prefer more seclusion, which I'm sure it has compared to Junkanoo, but anything else you can specifically tell me to help my decision?

I was also wondering about this. I was considering going to the free section of Cable but some people say Melia is worth it. How much is it for the day?

Thanks!
