SONJ Posted November 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2016 We enjoyed Balmora Island, but the beach and water is rocky. We would go back again. Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app
rojoand8 Posted November 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2016 We were in the Bahamas on Oct 28th when we were on our cruise. We did a Segway excursion that took us to Junkanoo Beach which is just outside of town. We said that if we ever vacation in Nassau we'd definitely go there. It has ok restrooms, cleaner than I expected. There's a nice hut-like restaurant that was really hopping. The water seemed very nice. You could see the port to the right. mjkacmom Posted November 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2016 I believe Junkanoo is the only free option with restroom facilities.
Boatsandhoes69 Posted November 17, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Was at junkanoo a couple of weeks ago. The tikini bikini beach hut had a great deal. $45 2 beach chairs. 4 drinks. 4 shots. Best deal! Sent from my LG-H918 using Forums mobile app
cruiseapril Posted November 22, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 22, 2016 We much prefer getting a day pass to the Melia. It is worth it. Cable Beach is very nice and the Melia has good amenities. Have tried other beaches.

Have tried other beaches. Hi April, What specifically about Cable Beach do you prefer? I was thinking of going to the free part of cable beach after a visit to the astrada zoo and fish fry. I would prefer more seclusion, which I'm sure it has compared to Junkanoo, but anything else you can specifically tell me to help my decision? Jdragon95 Posted November 27, 2016 #8 Share Posted November 27, 2016 We much prefer getting a day pass to the Melia. It is worth it. Cable Beach is very nice and the Melia has good amenities. Have tried other beaches. I was also wondering about this. I was considering going to the free section of Cable but some people say Melia is worth it. How much is it for the day? Thanks!
