uniworld Rhine river late August weather

Our departure date is approaching and we are wondering what the weather will be like on the ship and in the villages. We will be in Lucerne early Sept and wonder about that area also. Any weather info would be much appreciated. Will we need coats?

I suppose you are familiar with http://www.weather.com? Search for the area..and you have the forecast...daily..10days..etc.

We had unseasonably chilly and wet in July. I would suggest layers. Make sure you have a waterproof jacket. The tours go out rain or shine.

We are cruising August 24 - are you on that sailing?

Anyone going on the Rhine Uniworld in one week? Going to pre cruise in Lucerne first and then in a week on to Basel and the start of the riverboat cruise!!!!!

I am at work now so don't have the number. We don't have a suite but a couple doors down from the suites.

We are in cabin 320. Jane and I continue to celebrate our 50 years together. We are retired teachers and taught in an urban area. We are active 70 year olds. See you soon. Hope we get over jet lag quickly.
