This was our second time on the pride and nothing but good to say,, well our only complaint would be some of the guests being rude but other then that this cruise was a blast.. Ship is in great shape, staff was great, food was good wont give it a great, but well above avg. Our cruise was sold out, every room filled and still no long lines for anything... God we love the staff so great, god bless them..Hats off to carnival on the staff they hire..

I guess if we had one complaint about the cruise which was our second on the pride same cruise it would be freeport,,,,,,, I will not even complain about it being too short a stay, it should not be a port period... Two times didnt like either, and we tried going to different places this time still a lot of nothing... No biggie for us though, cruise rocked had a great time.... Now we are planning another carnival cruise for may, only this time we may fly to flordia and stay a few days b4 the cruise just for somthing different... BUT the pride rocks and next year we will be back....

Freeport has some beautiful beaches, you just have to figure out how to get to them...it's not easy. That being said, I love the Pride and have been on both of the Bahamas/Caribbean itineraries. I know that since the home port is Baltimore, it's hard to add a lot more ports...they are too far away. If they change it up a little though, we will definitely go on another Pride cruise. Or I would go on the Grand Turk/HMC itinerary again.

ok..so what do you suggest for a first timer at Freeport? Heard that it doesn't have anything to do. Should we just stay aboard that day?

Suggest you get in a van (shared with 7 or 8 others looking for transportation) for $5 each, each way. Drops you off at a shopping area, and also short walk to beach. A small casino if you want.

Early is the key word, since ship leaves about 1:30 PM. You'll have fun, and if sun is up early, get a tan at the beach !

Love seeing a good review for a ship I'm about to cruise on. Thanks.

Our first cruise was the Pride and absolutely loved it. We really enjoyed Freeport but picked that port to explore, shop, and try to find the out of the way local places to eat. No plans, beach or excursions, just experience the local atmosphere. One of my favorite parts was the cab ride back in a beat up cab where the windows stuck, no a/c (and i don't like heat), wondering it this jalopy would even make it back to port while other in the can were freaking out. It was the experience and new things i loved. HMC I wouldnt mind skipping because there wasnt as much to see and do so we spent that whole day alone snorkeling away from the crowds. GT was our favorite. We would love to do Freeport again and see other things but they were still rebuilding and struggling from a hurricane so some things were not available or just closed down.

I'm looking forward to our cruise on the Pride in a couple of weeks. I would love if they would add 9 or 12 day cruises like RCCL does out of Baltimore, more diversity.
