Beachdude Posted April 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2013 Aloha We understand that one of the hotels does a fireworks display around 7:30 each friday night on the Wakiki beach (or near their). We were wondering if they can seen well enough to enjoy from the ship or if we need to get closer. We are trying to decide if we should have dinner on the balcony or take a tourboat into the bay. Molokai-Chuck Posted April 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2013 What ship are you on, on a Friday night? While the fireworks are good....they are not eat on you lanai good....they do not last that long. Also, what bay are you speaking of taking a tourboat in? The fireworks are from the Hilton, Waikiki. cruzn single Posted April 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2013 Not worth planning your evening around the fireworks. Last maybe 4-5 minutes. Pick out how you want to enjoy Honolulu for your evening and go for it! Enjoy.

slidergirl Posted April 6, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2013 They are at the Hilton Hawaiian Village (since there are 2 hiltons on Waikiki). Yeah, they only last about 5 minutes, but they are nice fireworks. I wouldn't pay to get on a boat to watch it, however. Go sit on the beach in front of the HHV or the Hale Koa at Ft. DeRussy and watch the fireworks, then go have dinner in Waikiki. Take The Bus from the ship down to the stop across the street from the HHV and just go from there. When you're done for the night, take The Bus back to the ship.
Blu Tailor Posted April 8, 2013 #6 Share Posted April 8, 2013 we went on a catamaran that cruised along Waikiki beach to see the fireworks. we were told we could bring our own alcohol with us so we brought a bottle of champagne. We loved it, sailing on a boat, beautiful night, stars, champagne, fireworks, from our experience, this was the best and most romantic way to really enjoy the whole experience :)
