Thinking of this riverboat cruise next spring. Could not find reviews...or a bit old to consider...anyone out there having taken this cruise? Would love to have some input...thanks

Rick

Have not taken it personally, but our CD from this past April's Castles on the Rhine cruise really loves this itinerary. She said that she tries to get the CD assignment for this itinerary every year. So it must be pretty nice... :)

We just booked the SS Catherine for next March on the Rhone, though. The timing was better.

We took the Rhone Uniworld riverboat cruise in August of '13. A wonderful mixture of wine, food, history and beauty. Has posted photos from it, if interested. email me for link..at eyeu at aol dot com.

We did the pre cruise at Aix on our own....a great way to have begun the trip.

We took the cruise a couple of years ago. It is one of our favorites!!! The year we went, the tulips were a little late blooming but they were still incredible.

Like all Uniworld cruises, the ship, staff, and itinerary are top notch.

Only problem is the stop in Antwerp. Too many diamond stores and prices much better than in the states. Had to increase the Belgian GNP.

We are thinking about taking this cruise again it was so good.

Stick to beer, chocolate and frijtes . . .

For those who stop in Antwerp and want something different, consider visiting the Red Star Line Miseum. http://www.redstarline.be/en

Although on another line, we found this itinerary really great. The Delta Works, Alsmeer Flower Auction, Keuknhof Gardens are all fascinating experiences.

Fred, Fred, Fred! Stella? No, no, no. Antwerp . . . De Koninck :p

Well, at least you didn't refer to frijtes as "French fries." If you don't want mayonnaise, try on of the other sauces. You preserve you passing grade with the moules. ;)

Catsup and Stella can be found in any "American Embassy"* in Belguim.
