rubrrick Posted January 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2006 I believe that the Monarch will be back in LA sometime tonight to start taking on passengers again this afternoon. I'm anxious to hear about the referbishments, and get the reaction of past passengers that cruise regularly on the Monarch. Hopefully we will hear some good things come Monday!! Oppgaard Posted January 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2006 We will be on the Monarch again on Feb. 20 so we are also anxious to hear about any of the refurbishments and/or changes. We would also like to know if they have done any "updating" to the Royal Suite. Thanks.

Merion_Mom Posted January 30, 2006 #12 Share Posted January 30, 2006 I'm going on Monarch in Sept. my second time on Monarch and my DH first. What is Portifinos and Johnny Rockets and do they charge? If Monarch charges what most of the other ships do, it will be $20 per person for Portofino's and $3.95 per person for Johnny Rocket's. Since you are a Crown & Anchor member, you will get a coupon for one free visit to JR's. Oh, and what are they? JR's is a 50's diner concept restaurant: you know, The Malted Shop from beach movies? Burgers, onion rings, french fries, milkshakes, etc. Portofino's is an upscale northern Italian cuisine restaurant, with top-notch service and ambience.
