Statendam - Oct 18 - A Sea Day

It's another sea day. Again - lot's of activities. Ship is getting hotter everywhere. By afternoon many people were at the front desk complaining - from all deck levels - many cabins do not have any air conditioning. On our deck - Navigation - even the hallway is terribly hot - made worse by the fact that the magic eye at the aft doors is not working and the doors have to be left open - letting in tons of hot air. There is definitely an air-conditioning problem on this ship. We have also been among those reporting no air-conditioning in our cabin.

The salon girls were out again today soliciting.

The internet was out of service for several hours due to a satellite problem.

We have noticed that the ship ship slowed down considerably a couple of times this afternoon - no explanation was given.

Today was Dutch High Tea at 3:15 in the Rotterdam Dining Room.

Exactly WHAT were the salon girls soliciting for? ( sorry couldn't resist)

Now you got me thinking about what they were soliciting for considering that busniess was slow at the beginning of the cruise in the salon.

"Hey there, you crazy cruiser, want me to show you a HAL of a good time? How'd you like to experience the Pinnacle of my Tradition of Excellence? It's a cashless society here on the Sexendam and what happens in the Crow's Nest stays in the Crow's Nest."
