Hi Ken, I was on the Flora in April ‘22 with 9 friends. We did the inner loop of the Galapagos. It was a trip of a life time. The Flora is stunning. I had booked a Sky Suite. The veranda was one of my favorite place to relax after snorkeling or hiking. The cabin was spacious and beautifully appointed. The public spaces are comfortable, airy and bring in touches that remind you of the beauty and nature around you. The finishes of the entire ship reminded me of an Edge class ship. Breakfast and lunch were buffet style. Dinner was plated. For dinner there was the main dining room and a grill area. The food was amazing. The real treasure of the Flora is the staff. The Naturalists were extremely knowledgeable and were always pointing out things as were were walking, hiking or doing a tender tour. All were very good photographers who gave great pointers on taking pictures. This was a truly memorable way to celebrate a big “0” number birthday. It was so memorable that we are booked for Oct 2024 to do the outer loop.

I’ve been on both the Apex (Nov 2021) and Beyond (Oct 2022). I have personally found all four of the MDR to be very good. We were on the Millennium last week. We found the MDR to be very good. You will not be disappointed with MDR.

Double check before you get to the port. Berth 25 is typically used by the Edge class ships (Edge, Apex and Beyond). The other X ships may use other berths if one of the Edge class ships are in. We are on the Millie tomorrow and leaving from 18 as Beyond will be at 25. Knowing where you are leaving from will help you decide where to park, assuming you are driving to the port. Have fun!

We are hopping on the Millie tomorrow for a post holiday cruise. The last time we were on her was for an Alaska cruise back in 2014. Looking forward to relaxing for a few days. Must find Marren. Curley, I know we will see. Several time a day….

Did LPC on the Apex. Was it cute? Yes. Was the food great? It was okay. Would I do it again? No. It was a one and done. I would spend the money on Eden in a heartbeat.
