How can you take this review seriously when the OP says that the Horseshoe Bay was underwelding and the sand not so pink.  Lol

Yea, sounds like they drove by it and were expecting to see some hot neon pinkness.

My dad even conceded it was impressive after visiting and we only went a little bit of the way over to the coves on the left (we have beaches somewhat locally and was he in the mindset of they connect to the same ocean, what is so special?).

I do agree with the OP about the running track being along side some smoking areas. Hard to hold your breath even while just walking past those.

I went on the same cruise a few months ago and had a pleasant time, looking forward to snagging a deal to go again in the fall. I do hope that "comedy magician" is off the ship by then. He was the worst entertainer by far. After Midnight wasn't really my thing, but it was a well done production. I don't know why OP said it was poor.

  2. Cannot carry on any sodas/waters. There are some shows/meals that are extra cost. Felt like there was lots of extra specialty dining choices on NCL, but I was fine eating at their MDR or the buffet or O'Sheehan's (bar/pub kinda feel with a rather fixed menu, but I liked it). They have multiple MDRs, one is more formal attire and one is just come as you are (they serve the same menu). You aren't assigned a dining time, can just go whenever or make a reservation for whatever time you desire.

Their shows/comedians (even complementary ones) have reservations, the app/online doesn't show all the spots so that was annoying.... You could standby if you didn't have a reservation.

The Escape prices out of NYC have been reliably dropping in all categories prior to sailing.  Many of the customers for NE ports don’t fly in so they don’t book early, thus cabins remains vacant until discounted

That makes sense... I was thinking with summer, kids out of school, they wouldn't drop as much. I did notice for the the Escape sailing leaving today, it dropped a ton then it actually went back up! I went on a last minute rate for Escape at the end of April. Looking to do another (Escape or Dawn), but thought I would need to wait until Fall for the prices to drop a lot.

I would also skip the main theater show, "The Brat Pack: For the Record."

I enjoyed After Midnight.  There was lot of tap dancing and while it could be boring for a 12 year, by no means was it inappropriate.

Don't believe they have the brat pack anymore.

The entertainment isn't that great to be honest for a 12 year old, but there are lots of activities I'm sure she'll enjoy. There is a ropes course and a few different water slides. They have numerous little games/quizzes type things each day in the atrium.

The cruise line should retrieve your passport and leave it with the port agent.

Hope I never miss my ship departing, but how would they even know if the passport is in your room/safe? Would it be standard procedure for them to check your stateroom if you don't make it back?

Thank you for posting all this!

Curious if there was Indian Food in the Garden Cafe ? It’s always something I look forward to on NCL! Can’t wait for my July cruise to Bermuda!

They usually had at least one curry type dish, sometimes more, and sometimes roti on request. They had long grain rice usually as well. Indian isn't my thing so I didn't pay much attention to it.
