  1. Yes, 24 or 48 hours prior something needs to change or some people will ignore that requirement if they've prefilled that section.
  2. Our Kindles will be loaded with books, as will our spare Kindles. I'm a speed reader so Kindles have made travel so much easier for me.
  3. No cooking or cleaning. The fresh sea air. Enjoying a cocktail in one of the bars with live entertainment. Trivia. The variety of choices on the MDR menus. Meeting new people. Enjoying a show in the theatre Walking the promenade deck.
  4. Same here, and I'm not messing with it until we do the RAT and attest to it. I will have photos of our vac certs on my phone so could upload them then otherwise we'll also have paper copies. BTW I'm pretty sure the health check section is date and time stamped so it will have to be updated withing 24 hours of embarkation. I'm curious to see what happens when that 24 hour period starts. Like most of us, I suspect, I've gone through the Health section and ticked the boxes just to familiarise myself with it. Will it untick those boxes? Change our embarkation status? If it doesn't do either of those it will be worse than the old paper health declaration.
  5. Once cruising restarts fully the OPT might be able to afford to install free WiFi.
  6. The iPad will be able to be used to connect to the ship's intranet but unless LC1950 booked a Plus fare or bought the internet package they won't be able to connect to the internet using the ship's WiFi.
  7. No, every time we have been given a letter with a form to check for our preferred disembarkation times, in 30 minute windows, and to indicate how many luggage tags we needed. Our cabin steward would collect the form. Then we would receive our luggage tags and actual disembarkation time within that selected 30 minute window - I think they put people into groups 5-10 minutes apart. I guess if you never returned the first form you would be put into a default group.
  8. I can't tell you exactly how to do it as my phone is Android, not Apple. But if that function is available on iPhones there should be something in settings that can be turned on. Then connect the iPad to the iPhone as if it was just anothe WiFi system.
  9. Princess have been allowing selection of disembarkation times for several years.
  10. Fixed it for you.😁 And we're the same. A relaxed breakfast then disembarkation.
  11. Can you use your phone as a WiFi hotspot and connect your iPad to your phone?
  12. We're doing the opposite with three Princess cruises booked over the next four months. We've taken advantage of the very reasonable fares and upgraded ourselves to suites and minisuites where we'll have more private space to relax if we feel the ship is crowded at times. Those cabins also give us Club Class dining which we hope will be a little less crowded than the rest of the MDR. I feel confident that Princess will be doing its utmost to ensure the cruises are Covid-safe. I'm not sure all of the passengers will be doing the same, unfortunately, but we'll be taking every precaution to keep ourselves safe and having wonderful times at sea.
  13. For that one it's probably because those 12 passengers go all over the ship so potentially are a risk to crew members.
  14. I think I saw a comment somewhere saying they weren't doing them at present. Edit - I found it under the Princess Health Protocols: "Larger group events including singing groups, The Voice of the Ocean, behind-the-scenes tours and the Captain’s Champagne Waterfall will not be available during these cruises."
  15. When we booked flights to Europe for what we hoped would be an amazin Western Europe cruise in 2020 we looked at the Qantas business class fares and just laughed. Not in our budget! After some research I found business class return - into Rome, out of Gatwick - for just under $10,500 for two on China Airlines which is a Taiwanese airline. When the enevitable happened due to Covid we had the refund back in three days - overnight to Paypal, then a couple more days to show up on our credit card.
  16. However from what people are saying on the main Princess board this isn't working very well in practice. People aren't getting the same table each night. Going to the MDR after boarding may be more successful.
  17. It's not really a problem unless you are doing cruises B2B and need to change your details before the second leg. Otherwise you do a cruise, you come home, update anything on the app that needs to change for the next cruise, rinse and repeat. Not really much different to doing it the old was in the Personalizer.
  18. Hope you feel better soon, Leigh. Take it easy and look after yourself. 😘
  19. We took our car over and drove around as much of the island as we could manage in the time we had. We really enjoyed the full day loop we did down to Seal Bay, Admirals Arch. But there were still places we missed and the downside to driving yourself is it limits wine tasting etc. 😝
  20. Kangaroo Island is gorgeous but everything is spread out over a large area so it is a place where doing an excursion makes sense. Even after spending three nights there we didn't see everything we wanted to see so will probably do an excursion on one of the two cruises we have booked that go there.
  21. Glad to have you back, I was a bit concerned over your absence. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}} Great news that you're going to cruise again. That Westerdam cruise sounds good and their fares for singles seem a lot fairer to me. I don't buy into the "two people in a cabin spend more than one" excuse as it very much depends on the individuals. After all they don't put a surcharge on people who don't buy many drinks onboard, who don't go to the speciality restaurants, who don't shop in the stores, or play Bingo, or book excursions.
  22. I'm using Android - A Samsung Galaxy Note 9. I'm not sure if it's the latest Android version, the phone is a few years old and I can't remember when it updated last.
  23. That's what I expected to see too. Ah well, it will sort itself out in the end I expect.
  24. No, I see the Booking # and the Order # and the Sailing Date but that's all. Clicking on it spins the wheel but does nothing. Very strange.
  25. I think I've found it - it shows the voyage with the order number at the top but clicking on it does nothing.
