  1. Thank you. I’ll book it. Why is pool area horrendous @jean87510
  2. Hi, Considering an alcove on our San Juan Day (on Equinox) We dock at 4pm so it’s almost a sea day so we figure finding seats for a family of 7 ( 2 kids) won’t be easy on deck and this could be our base. Does anyone who’s rented one recently know what perks of any are included? Realise it only accommodates 4. Any opinions welcome. TY.
  3. Hi all, We have narrowed down our choices of tours on St Lucia since not everyone is keen to do the land component of a full day tour. We’re looking at Speedboat Tours to the Pitons. I’m concerned with safety so are considering taking the ships tour as I hope they ensure there’s no overcrowding and that the vendors are safe. Has anyone been on an O Speedboat Tour. Thank you.
  4. Thanks for the advice. Serenity does have a Land and Sea Tour, that incorporates what we wanted to do at a very decent rate.$125pp Waiting on their private quote. Cosol would be able to put a private one together at a cost of US$350 pp but so not currently have a land and sea tour. Leaning towards Serenity but can anyone give me an idea of types of vehicles and how many in the van and type of boat used to sail back to Castries. TY.
  5. Nothing posted on my booking as yet and Special Services says they aren’t available for those dates as yet. It is port intensive with no sea days, but we have done some of the ports as land trips so had planned on booking a class on those days. Hopefully it pans out if not I’ll have to shop lol!
  6. Thank you for the info. I’ll try through TA.
  7. Quik update for anyone still waiting , I managed to book Feb 2024 , Vista Culinary Class but nothing posted as yet for our July 2024 Vista cruise ,Athens to Istanbul.
  8. Have emailed many prior to posting and none seem able to coordinate. Did not hear of Serenity and Explore so will do so. Thank you.
  9. Is there a tour company we could book for two people using a water taxi or private transfer Castries to Soufriere or vice versa and a land tour ? Would like to limit time in the vehicle on winding roads as I get motion sickness and to save some time . We would like to see : The Pitons Soufriere Volcano Waterfalls - Toraille or Diamond ? I’m not sure of the logistics We don’t mind making a couple stops en route but not necessary to see every village or food stall or viewpoint on the tour which is why I prefer a private one. No snorkeling or beach time needed. Any suggestions welcome. Thank you
  10. When can I expect to see Culinary Classes online, a year out like excursions or even sooner? Thank you.
  11. Don’t mean to be a pessimist but referencing an emergency if needed to evacuate the ship. We have a few kids in our group so the parents are a bit anxious reading the comments about staffing issues .
  12. All these poor reviews are very disheartening. Everyone is upset about understaffing resulting in long wait times for service at bars, not enough roaming bar staff and long wait times during dinner service but I wonder how understaffing would impact safety in the event of an emergency. This is my concern and making us rethink our family cruise.
  13. Stayed a few years ago at the Hilton precruise- great view from the rooftop restaurant and post cruise at Grande Bretagne( used points) Both were lovely but I preferred the location of GB. Close to many restaurants, shopping , and great service. You cannot go wrong with either.
  14. Thank you for your review. It seems to be on par with many others.
  15. Enjoyed following along. Thank you for taking the time during your vacation.
  16. Iguazu Falls was one of the highlights of our trip to S. America. We had a short window on our trip and it was a must see for me. We planned the trip ourselves. Took the first flight out from Rio to IGU. Booked transfer through the hotel Landed at IGU and again had arranged transfer through the hotel. Stayed at the Belmond as you have extended hours in the park. We did some trails in the afternoon and again went into the park early in the morning. After breakfast we had arranged a private transfer through the Belmond across to the Argentinian side. Border crossing took some time but we were checked into the Gran Melia by noon which gave us ample time to do a couple of trails and again got up early and did another. Moon walk that evening had been canceled. We did not have time to do the boat ride but it looked thrilling. We packed a lot into our two nights and in order to maximize our time there it was juat easier booking transfers through the Belmond rather than trying to source a potentially cheaper driver. It was the trip of a lifetime and I couldn’t go all the way up there and not see both sides but even if you could only do one side I’d say go for it. Flew from IGR to Buenos Aires around mid morning. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your cruise.

    Turkey Visas

We’ve also done Turkey before but both times I assume we had Celebrity get the visas as I do not recall going through the process. We transitted IST to Crete once and didn’t need it then so it was a surprise when our TA mentioned getting a visa. Also planning a trip after the cruise to Cappadocia and a couple more nights in Istanbul so I’d rather be safe and get a multiple entry visa.Good to know that’s it’s doable online. Thanks all. I really appreciate the help and patience answering questions from new O cruisers and I can’t wait for all y’all’s Vista reviews.

    Turkey Visas

Thank you for the info. We will do it ourselves then as will need the 90 day visa since it’s more than just port stops.

    Turkey Visas

Flying into Athens and out of IST. Will be doing a land trip after the cruise docks in Turkey. Thank you.
  20. Hi all, do you arrange your own Visas ( needed for Turkey ) or is it easier to allow O to do it? O is considerably more but if it expedites the process then we’re willing to them let handle it. (Canadian passports) TIA.
