  1. Planning my June cruise with Sky Princess. Does anyone have any experience if Princess offers something if you will have a Reunion Celebration during the cruise? Any recent experiences at the following restaurants: The Chef's table, Sabatini's, Crown Grill and The Catch?

    OBC

Hi, May I ask if you can see your OBC by Captain´s Circle web-page (payments&credits)? Princess´customer service told me that I will have some OBC but I can not see that via payments&credits.
  3. Would anyone be kind enough to take a picture of Sky Princess' senior ship staff board? I am looking who is currently the Food&Beverage Manager and the Executive Chef?
  4. So sorry for your bad dinner experience. Do you know how is the Food & Beverage Manager and the Executive Chef now on board? Did you miss any shows due to slow service? No any orange juice for breakfast?
  5. Any ideas about prices and how to travel from Port of Kiel to Hamburg airport one person with 2 luggages? I guess that the travel time will be more than one hour. If the ship arrives to Kiel at 7am could I take flight at noon, or is the schedule too tight?
  6. Thanks but very disappointed with the menus depicted. The level has really come down. Kale caesar salad as new "Princess favorite"? 😁
  7. Sorry but is that ture that Sky Princess' gala dinner is now pie and mash? In 1992 we had at Star Princess caviar beef wellington lobster and pheasant.
  8. Great and the food is also selfservice or by plates?
  9. So sorry for your food. I will be on board next June could you please check the price for Sky Princess ship model (maybe at candy Shop?)? Do you know if they still have free ship postcards from front desk?
  10. You can also have very cheap ferry cruises from Helsinki/Finland to Tallinn (2.5h) and Stockholm (overnight). This is how Finnish people travel. In summer time we have also 3 days cruises to Visby, which is very nice island to visit.
  11. Who has experience with the following ships? Alternatives would be 11 nights Norwegian Star or 16 nights Costa Firenze in an inside cabin, same price and almost the same cruise itinerary. I know that Costa is a newer ship, but is the quality and selection of food better at NCL considering also the little things like free water, iced tea and coffee at meals. How much does the Gala menu differ between these two ships (is there lobster anymore?)? Both prices are cruise only and do not include the beverage package. All information will be more than to welcome.
  12. You are welcome. Port taxes are a whole "world of their own" in this business...to increase tourism, the destination can pay the cruise line x amount of money for each cruise passenger, in addition to this, the passengers naturally pay port fees for the destination in question...the port gives the ship the right to keep the Casino open, if the ship stays at the destination longer.. .even if the berth is available, the ship can remain at anchor, in which case passengers are transported ashore by lifeboats, and all this only because this is cheaper than lowering the gangway at the pier...
  13. Cruise pax pay port taxes at the embarkation, ports-of-call as well as at disembarkation ports.
  14. When I first saw the 25.29USD refund in Casalanca and La Coruña port fees, I thought there is something strange here. And now we know, Princess postponed the additional time in the port of Southampton to be paid for by passengers. Having followed the international cruise sector for over 30 years, a really wrong move by the cruise line. During February-March, Princess ran a tough austerity program; tip increase, theme restaurant price increase, menu changes. And more to come... Although the following matter does not apply to this Sky Princess's TA cruise, it is still current on many cruise lines. Cruise ships' problems with the number of staff have been widely publicized. During the pandemic, it became very clear what the different cruise lines thought about their staff...those who could have corona were kept in the same cabin with a healthy colleague (and soon the cabin mate was also sick) or locked in a small inside cabin...so it's no wonder that many people's mental health was shaken and they didn't want to return to work on ships again.
  15. Does anyone know how the buffet is open on MSC Cruises (24/7?)? What about water/coffee/tea in the buffet, are they available for free 24/7? How is MSC Cruises' Gala menu today; is there any lobster, beef wellington (can you have a second lobster get without extra charge?)?
  16. Hi all...I was looking a cruise that will end to Kiel can anyone give me ideas how to travel from Kiel to Hamburg airport? If the ship arrives at 07h it the 12 o´clock flight OK? How is Kiel as a town? I have many nice memories from Travemunde, Lubeck and Hamburg...
  17. Thank you so much for your info. I know that after pandemic so many things have changed. How was the food on board Firenze during your cruise? Any lobster etc. during gala nights? I saw 700 GBP offer for 18 days cruise as solo, but My Drinks is 500 GBP...so I don´t know what to say...
  18. I saw one interesting cruise on Costa Firenze and would have inquired about a few things; is it really the case that even though the cruise in question is in Europe, where all port destinations have already waived covid testing, etc., Costa requires a covid test because the trip takes more than 16 days? How has the level of service and food on that ship changed since the pandemic? Is it true that you can no longer get any free water or coffee in the main restaurant hall? Is water/coffee available at the buffet 24/7? Is the buffet open for 24/7? Is the cabin service breakfast free? How good or bad are IP-inside cabins for solo passenger?
  19. You can also always rent a car and move according to your own schedule, as well as making stops exactly where you want. That's what I'm doing on my upcoming Iceland cruise.
  20. I would like to hear opinions about two different options; Silver Wind vs Silver Dawn. I know the Wind is an older and smaller ship, but sailing from the London/Tower Bridge is an experience that beats the Dawn (from Southampton) in terms of ship, service and food?
  21. Hi and thank you so much for this onformation. I really like Muy Intresante. These are free of charge or with fee? How I can have them once on board? Do you know which is the main turn-around port for MSC during this cruise (as they change pax at every port)? How many gaala nights you have during this one week cruise?
  22. I would check a few things regarding the upcoming Sky Princess cruise next June: -after the final payment, if the cruise line offers upgrande, when is it usually? -when I can print my luggage labels? -when you can choose the check-in time (in the passenger contract it says that for my own cruise, check-in would only start at 12.30pm at the earliest, even though the ship sails at 4pm from Southampton/UK (is this possible)? -if the travel agency offers a free special dinner, etc. shouldn't it appear in my onboard credit account?
