  1. Hi and thank you so much for your help. There will be 4 ports of call; Akureyri/Isafjordur/Grundafjordur/Reykjavik. We already have car for Akureyri and Reykjavik. We will be only one day per port usually 7/8am - 7/8pm. Isafjordur will be just walking and see the place, I just got some ideas from their tourist office by email. The only place that is still open is Grundafjordur (but no any plan to have car that day). In Akureyri our plan is to visit Godafoss/Husavik/Namaskard/Myvarn and in Reyjavik our plan is Skogafoss/Sandvik/Hverageroi. What you think about these places? All information etc. will be more than welcome!
  2. These cruise was very cheap, even that both was with balcony. South America is very special place for me and as I speak spanish too, it was so easy travel there. Also there I had two cruise from Europe to Rio de Janeiro and then some days there before my other cruise from Rio de Janeiro to Antarctica and fjords of Chile up to Valparaiso. Hopefully you can visit one day South America too,
  3. Oh yes...their midnight buffets...as well as the restaurant breakfast (I still have that menu)...
  4. Ciao! May I ask when you was on board Cunard Princess? I was twice...1992 and 1993 sailing out of Málaga to the Canary Islands
  5. Yes...and even 3+ star Cunard Princess had lobster and silver service dinner!
  6. I made 30 days cruise from Los Angeles to Dubai between 2 cruise lines, I only changed my ship in Singapore. Some new ports and some old ones for me. I really enjoyed that long trip. You should try one day!
  7. On my cruise in 1992 with Star Princess during gala night there was Malossol caviar and for main course pheasant, beef Wellington ja Maine lobster...those were the golden days of cruising!
  8. So sorry for long dinner time. What time they have usually their show time? Do you think if we have dinner at 7pm that we could make second show time (at 9pm?)? Or should we go at 6.30pm for dinner (my spanish friend usually have dinnet at his home at 10pm)? I guess that have now also the new Spotlight Bar show?
  9. Happy to know that you enjoy your cruise! I will sail next June with Sky. Could you please check if they havu ship models and what will be the price? What time the cabins was ready? Was Estrella MDR open for lunch on embarkation day?
  10. Thank you so much! Very nice (and good size) ship model.
  11. Thank you for your info. Do you have any picture of your ship model?
  12. Does anyone know what the Sky Princess´ship model costs on board?
  13. Having lived half of my life in Málaga and having visited the Alhambra in Granada numerous times, my personal recommendation is that you explore Málaga and/or the surrounding areas. The Alhambra simply has a lot of stairs. From near of the port of Málaga, you can take a bus and go, for example, to Fuengirola (along the coast) and from there take another bus up to the beautiful village of Mijas in the mountains (where the cruise lines also make excursions) and from there take a third bus to Torremolinos, from where you can easily get back to Málaga. In Málaga, my favorite place is Antigua Casa de Guardia, the oldest winery in the city, where you can taste sweet Málaga wine. The nearby market hall is also a good place to visit, as well as Casa Aranda if you want to taste the best churros in town.
  14. Great, Where I can find the link?
  15. Does Princess Cruises still have "Refer to Friend" which offers 25USD OBC for you and your friend once he/she will cruise with Princess?
  16. Hi can you please tell more about the "new" lower quality in Crown Grill? And how about the meat quality at the MDR?
  17. I'm still thinking about the possibility of pre-ordering transportation from the ship to the hotel after the cruise. Can anyone recommend reliable companies?
  18. You can take trein from Cádiz to Seville, it is very near of the port area. Enjoy your trip!
  19. In Akureyri, we have a car with my friends, and this way we have our own freedom to explore the destinations that we want to see. Godafoss is such nice place to visit!
  20. This summer, I'm taking Norway & Iceland cruise. Both destinations are notoriously expensive, more expensive than, for example, Finland, which is also an expensive country to live 😉 The good thing about a cruise is that accommodation and full board are included in the price; they are also the biggest travel cost items in Norway and Iceland. In Iceland, we have a car with my friends, and this way we have our own freedom to explore the destinations that we want to see. A record 260 cruise ships are expected in Iceland this year, because after St. Petersburg was left out of Baltic Sea cruises already last year, the cruise lines have had to look for new destinations for this year as well. A cruise is a good option to get to know a destination in advance, and if you fall in love with a destination on the way, you can always return there again (for a longer time). On cruises, I have previously organized private shore excursions in Vietnam, Myanmar, India...to visit places that cruise lines do not take passengers, because as we know, it does not matter whether it is a 10-bus excursion or a 10-person excursion. The most important thing is that everyone enjoys their own trip, no matter what their interest is. 🙂
  21. Thank you so much! Do you know if you can use that shore exc. -10% for one tour just for 1 or up to 3 people if they share the same cabin?
  22. Thanks again for your help. Do you remember what time the cabins were ready? If the cabins are not ready when you arrive on board, can you go to the dining room with hand luggage? How well does Anytime dinner work? I'm used to eating dinner late. What time are the shows usually? My last Princess cruise was 31 years ago, so I guess a lot has changed since then...
  23. Thanks for your info. As you was on board Sky; any news about coming dry dock this April-May? Do you know which MDR is open for embarkation day for lunch?
  24. Does Princess charge for cappuccino at MDR dinners?
  25. Thanks for your help! So no Molton Brown shower gel?
