  1. Well - it was more about being able to attend the club with her sister. My youngest two will be 10 and 12 when we cruise and had hoped to be in the same age group one last time. Did your kids still get to do crafts and games, or was it all tech and screens? It's not to say she wouldn't like some of the latter, but it would not be as engaging as physical activities would be (to her).
  2. Bumping this thread for other thoughts, if anyone has them. We've been out of cruising for the last three years šŸ˜¬and eager to get a cruise in this May before DD12 turns 13. Of all my kids she loved the kids clubs in the past and I am so sad to see she will have maxed out on most lines already. The RCCL site is hard to read as far as which ships she could still go to the kids' club. Does anyone know?
  3. Ugh - I had my heart set on Vista or Horizon, but I think I will have to go with NCL again as they have kids' club ages up to 12 and DD12 wants that more than anything. We've missed cruising for THREE years and she's almost aged out. Thank you for the help, though.
  4. Thank you @nycruise3 I need to go back and look at kids' clubs... I seem to be off course. Thank you!
  5. Thank you so much @MistyRo76! That is great. I am having a really hard time finding connecting rooms, but I am finding plenty adjacent, or separated by only one stateroom. Does anyone know if I would be able to get a key to the second room? Or probably not? I don't really think I'd need to enter for any reason... except it they were sleeping too late and ignoring the phone. šŸ˜‰
  6. We are looking at some cruises out of Galveston and Port Canaveral for the spring. If my daughter turns 13 during the trip, will she be allowed to visit the kids club during the days she is still 12? We have a large family, and five of the kids will be traveling with us. Would we be able to book mom/dad/12yo/10yo in one room and 20yo/18yo/17yo in the other? Or do we need to put a parent in each stateroom? Thank you.
  7. So glad you answered yourself @mitsugirly I visit your personal site. Hope you are doing well. Hope Mexico is a blast!!
  8. I came here entirely for this intell. I am SMH that DCL is the hold out on family lines. šŸ˜Ÿ
  9. Thank you for all the responses. A friend on another board had been sharing the process on the ship she'd just disembarked (DCL) and I realized I hadn't seen an envelope in many trips. I usually prepay my grats and then bring my own note cards for tips over that if we are inclined. But I thought I would ask for clarity.
  10. I am very grateful for employers who considered the big picture and kept as many nurses as the bedside as possible. Thankfully, even without the vaccine, my three infections were on par with a head cold. I know that is not the case for everyone. I am glad it is available for those who feel best served by getting them as many times as they want to. Thank you for all the considerate responses. I am now looking forward to hearing what my TA can secure for my family for next year. So excited. :)
  11. Will we still get envelopes for tipping if we pre-pay tips?
  12. You might be surprised by how many are not vaccinated. There is also a large demographic of those who got the initial dose/round, and didn't get boosters. Each health care system is handling in their own way. I'm glad the vaccine is available for anyone who wants it.
  13. yes. Hopefully it will be mild. I am unvaccinated and have had it three times once 2020 (caught at work - Iā€™m an RN) and twice in 2022 on trips. All three were mild ā¤
  14. For sure. I went to NY in April and came home with Covid and FL in May and came home with Covid. It spreads on ships and off.
  15. This is awesome. Congratulations. Off to check the Princess website!! Woohoo!!! ā¤ ā¤
  16. Ugh. The flu I had in 2009 was the most miserable I'd ever been. I'm sorry it found you on vacation. šŸ˜ž
  17. it wouldn't let me type after I quoted, but I sure am waiting for this to happen @bermudabound2014 I have cruise dollars ready to go!
  18. Thank you for this! Good grief! What is taking cruise ships so long to catch up? Praying this is all over soon! šŸ˜„
