  4. I looked into the Chase Sapphire credit card but their insurance doesn’t cover pre-existing conditions. What’s Not Covered This is not an exhaustive list. Examples include: Travel arrangements canceled or changed by a common carrier, tour operator, or any travel agency unless the cancellation is the result of severe weather or an organized strike affecting public transportation Change in plans or financial circumstances A pre-existing condition Traveling against the advice of a physician A declared or undeclared war Trips that exceed 60 days in duration are not covered
  5. There will be some 7 day cruises for the summer of 2021. See below. Starting Nov. 11, 2020, MSC Armonia will begin sailing from Tampa to the Caribbean, Mexico and The Bahamas year-round, with a full Winter season (Nov. 2020–April 2021) of 4- to 5-night short cruises followed by a Summer season (May 2021–Nov. 2021) of week-long cruise options.

  10. If you are interested in leaving from Tampa, there are many cruise lines to choose from. I have sailed from there 4 times. The 7 day Carnival Cruises are usually older people from Florida especially in the winter months. Also the ship size will be easier for your parents to get around the ship. Tampa is much less hectic than other cruise ports. The Celebrity Constellation (totally refurbished) will be coming to Tampa as well as the Holland America Veendam.
  11. I would have preferred one of the Vista Class ships instead of the Veendam. We didn’t sail the Rotterdam when she was in Tampa, we felt it was too old and too small. My HAL lady said the reason they pulled the Rotterdam from Tampa was because HAL could not fill the ship. I think the Veendam is going to have a hard time to compete against the Constellation. The Constellation is being “rebuilt “. Everything including cabins will be brand new. I like both cruise lines. I don’t think Veendam stands a chance. Then again maybe the prices will come down.
  12. Here is an article explaining Carnival’s Donations and support to the hurricane damaged communities. https://carnival-news.com/2019/09/04/carnival-corporation-and-micky-and-madeleine-arison-family-foundation-pledge-2-million-for-hurricane-dorian-relief/
  13. The Miracle is usually quite prompt when departing. She is still docked. She was scheduled to leave at 4:00. Has anyone heard why she is still there in Tampa?
  14. Thank you “two day wonder”. I hadn’t considered the annual fee credit cards. I will look into them and check their benefits. Thanks again.
  15. My Citi MasterCard used to have that coverage. It is being eliminated at the end of this month. What credit card do you have?
