  1. Good thing they waited until after dessert to tie your hands together. Would have been difficult to eat otherwise.
  2. We beer enthusiasts are quite an amazing group of humans. I'd love to discuss further, but all this beer talk is making me thirsty...
  3. Like the time she made you go see Barbie? (Where's the puke emoji when I need it??) But it's one of the free movies on the Prima in case anyone needs to be bored/nauseated on the long trek across the pond.
  4. Cadiz brings back memories... It was the one place in Spain we had paella. I was enjoying my lunch when Mrs. Schmoopie noticed the sign that said "No Credit Cards". Great...I had left all of our euros in the ship safe. Oops. There were no ATMs in the immediate area (according to our waiter)...but luckily I spied a couple eating two tables away who we had passed several times on the ship. Being desperate (and more than a little sheepish), I asked if we could borrow some money and we'd pay them back when we returned to the ship. I was expecting a, "Are you serious? I don't hand money to strangers" reply. Instead, I got, "Sure...no problem. Is a hundred enough?" That couple ended up being on two of our excursions in the days that followed. I just hope he doesn't hunt me down for the 100 euros I still owe him 😁.
  5. Lucky you, getting up close and personal with two of CC's biggest celebrities. I'm jealous. Did you get their autographs? Is Sugar Magnolia as sweet as her name implies?
  6. Unfortunately they kept Acapulco for our Panama Canal cruise. We decided to stay on the ship...and unfortunately, so did the majority of the passengers. So much for having the ship to ourselves.
  7. That would have been your name if you would have been a girl. But they had their heart set on the first three letters of that name, so they named you Graphicguy.
  8. Another tip. Go to your Roll Call and see what others are saying... https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/66-norwegian-cruise-line-roll-calls/
  9. Not yet. We booked them for this coming September. But all the contacts I have had with them thus far have been great...and their reviews are top-notch. Plus, no payment due until after the tour.
  10. We were also torn about what to do for our day in Naples and the Amalfi Coast this September. Then we stumbled upon this and we ended up booking it. Great reviews and prices less than cruise ship tours, or other tour companies. You can contact the owner directly on his very active Facebook page to reserve if you don't want to go through TripAdvisor/Viator. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g187785-d12275711-Reviews-or10-Taxi_Mister_Cab_Driver_Napoli-Naples_Province_of_Naples_Campania.html
  11. We spent 14 days on the Jade a little over a month ago. Great ship...awesome service and food. Do yourself a favor and stop by the Martini bar and ask for Shane. Best bartender we've ever had on NCL. We would sit at the bar and within two minutes of sitting down, he'd have our drinks in front of us without even having to order. Say "Hi" from "Bulliet on the Rocks" (me) and "Cosmo with a lime" (Mrs. Schmoopie).
  12. You must be new around here...then realizing you only joined two hours ago. 😁 This has been a hot topic on this board lately. Numerous threads about cancelled/revised itineraries, especially after final payment. As stated above, they reserve the right to pretty much do whatever they want/need to do in regard to port stops. I'm also surprised they offered $100 (for your convenience, of course).
  13. We're doing a Rome to Rome (actually Civitavecchia to Civitavecchia) in September. As for Mrs.Schmoopie, thank you for asking. Her recovery has been slow but somewhat steady...even though her injury was nine months ago, and they say in the best circumstances it can be a year to recover from a tibial plateau fracture. (Best circumstances include being a young kid. which most assuredly she is not. But then again, neither am I...but so far I've been able to avoid fractures of any kind. That sound you hear is me knocking on wood). Keeping my fingers crossed that she will be able to get around better than on our cruise last month. (Which makes typing even more difficult than normal).
  14. Where did you get the onboard credit from? If it's from a travel agent and is "refundable", then the answer is most likely "yes". If it's classified as "Non-refundable" (I.e. Stockholder OBC, etc.), then the answer is most likely no. Of course, Stockholder OBC is always either $100 or $250...so this must be something else.
  15. So...you're a huckleberry hound? Sorry if this was is way before your time and it went over your head. Sometimes I forget that not everyone is as old as I am...
  16. A better question would be, "What was the last name of the Everly Brothers?" 😁 Sorry for being late to the party (don't know how I missed this thread, since I love your trip reports...and your dad...since he reminds me so much of myself. Both of us are grumpy, hate having our hair messed up...and love beer.) Great minds...
  17. I guess that qualifies as the "bear" necessities. But I'm waiting for the bear to thing a thong...🎶
  18. You are correct...that's an old Abbott and Costello routine. But the "nyuk, nyuk, nyuk" brought back memories of three other guys.
  19. Are you sure about that? For example, we're equidistant between ORD and MKE. When we book NCL BOGO, they always ask which airport we want. We choose ORD, since there are far more choices of direct or non-stop flights, especially overseas. They always assign ORD...even though it would probably be cheaper for them to put you on flights with worse times and with more connections out of MKE.
