  1. I am a poor substitute for Ann, but I'll keep trying to post updates. Getting pictures from my phone to my computer has been a challenge since I packed the wrong USB cord! Maybe I could get bluetooth to work...
  2. I was gobsmacked by the size of the lobster since I was anticipating a couple of thin slices. This is a special cruise so we'll have to wait and see if it ever reappears...
  3. A fantastic lobster and scallop appetizer from the MDR and a massive, delicious pork chop -
  4. Another walking tour with Tony in Copenhagen today! Cherries were at peak bloom - Canadian Embassy -
  5. We did a walking tour in Oslo with Tony & Martha and Temma & Lynn yesterday. The Vigeland sculptures were amazing - but since they are all naked, I need to be judicious in my posting! Heading back to the ship and sail away-
  6. Some pictures from yesterday in Rotterdam - Looking at Rotterdam V from VII For @VMax1700 Hotel New York I found Tony and Martha @sailingdutchy while I was wandering around Rotterdam V Sail Away
  7. Mitzi and I are sorry we could not track you down the last couple of days to say goodbye. We really enjoyed sailing with you and Pat and hope we can do it again sometime! I can check at the front desk to see if your Air Tag was turned in. Tony and Martha are now our next door neighbors. I guess we will have to start behaving ourselves 😉!
  8. Hiking in Dartmoor near Plymouth Gorse in bloom on the moors Rotterdam at "anchor" in Plymouth Sailing out of Plymouth
  9. Hi Jacqui! We are on the Rotterdam with Ann, Pat, Tony and Martha right now having a great time. Mitzi and I just booked at the future cruise desk - Koningsdam - 15-Feb-25 - 35 day Hawaii South Pacific Although it is listed as "35-Day Hawaii, Tahiti & Marquesas" on our booking confirmation. Fred
  10. Went to Cantare tonight at the main stage. I thought they were pretty entertaining. I liked that they did a Prince song. I haven't checked out everything, but he entertainment seems pretty decent. The two piano players are OK, better than some that I have seen on HAL. The rock band is quite good IMO. BB King seems up to their usual standards. I enjoyed the dance band. Bill Miller's lectures have been fantastic. On the main stage so far, we have had - Tiny Little Big Band (very good IMO) Step One (twice) Eliot Finkel (pianist) Sid Davis (comedy) Rebecca Kelly (comedy/singer) Cantare (twice)
  11. Haven't posted much because we are having way too much fun on this cruise! For today's port -
  12. There was a nice, brief ceremony at the site of the Titanic sinking. A memorial wreath was left there -
  13. From last night's Pinnacle dinner with Ann, Pat, Martha, and Tony. Crab cakes, lobster bisque, and key lime pie!
  14. Made it aboard about 1:45. We are pretty beat! Got up at 3:20 am! Trip was fine, no problems encountered. Resting up for dinner in the Pinnacle with Ann, Pat, Martha, and Tony. Might sleep in tomorrow!
  15. Debbie - We had the same thing happen a while back for the flight we are taking tomorrow morning. I called 800-628-4771 (be sure to pick option 3!) to get a Flight Ease person and she cleared it up quickly. I might have lost the seats I had picked, but I was going to upgrade them anyway. I never really got an answer to what had happened... Fred
  16. Working on packing! Have everything staged, just need to see how it fits in the suitcases best! Early flight tomorrow thru Flight Ease with a HAL transfer from FLL. Thanks for all the well-wishes!
  17. But if the timing was a couple of days different it could have been a disaster!
