So how will the new open dining work? we are on QV in December and opted for open dining. Will one tier of the Britannia restaurant be kept for the traditional dining early and late seating and then the other tier for those on open dining?

Hattie can I ask about the open dining? I have had an email from Cunard regarding my December cruise on QV. I changed my late seating for dinner in Britannia to open dining. just wondering how you think this will work with the two traditional seating times?

Hattie can I ask if you and your husband have had your COVId boosters before boarding? My husband and I are sailing on QV in December and are both fully vaccinated and also had our flu jabs. We are hoping by mid December the majority of the over 50’s and vulnerable adults will be in the same position. Hopefully this will lessen the transmission of COVId cases onboard. I do agree though that Cunard should still be testing passengers prior to boarding. We will still be wearing our masks indoors onboard other than eating and drinking, not using the lifts and keeping socially distanced. We don’t feel this will impact our Cruise as we did this exact thing on our summer 2021 cruises when all the restrictions were still in place.

Can you book these speciality restaurants before boarding and are there any discounts once onboard?

We are debating whether to book Britannia balcony or Britannia club for our first Queen Victoria cruise next year. There is a significant additional cost so we are wondering if it’s worth it? We realise the cabin is the same but are the additional perks worth £ 1300 more for a 12 night cruise? thank you

Can anyone advise me on the prices for the Steakhouse on Queen Victoria and also the themed nights in the Lido buffet? Are either of these bookable before you board and does anyone have menus for the Lido themed nights? thank you

When are we likely to see price reductions if a cruise isn’t selling well? is it generally after the final balance payment date? Thank you

Thank you so much. I don’t really like the look of either balcony so I think we will wait for another cruise to sample an aft cabin. Will go with a normal balcony cabin this time I think.

Can anyone help out with a question regarding the premium balcony cabins on Baja Deck on Emerald? What are the differences between 751 and 753 on this deck and which would you choose? if anyone has any photos of these balconies or photos of the back of the ship that would be great. thank you

Thank you for all your kind comments. I think under the circumstances we will phone Celebrity and cancel. Although our consultant has said he would probably be ok,we don’t want to take the risk and as you all say, have a worrying vacation

We are booked on the Silhouette from Southampton at the end of September and due to pay the final balance at the end of July. we did three British Isles cruises last summer on Viking Venus, Celebrity Silhouette and Queen Elizabeth. All were for fully vaccinated adults with all testing and safety protocols in place. We feel very safe onboard and thoroughly enjoyed the cruises. Whilst onboard the Silhouette we booked a cruise for this September. As we get closer to final balance time and reading all the reports of COVId cases onboard, quarantining and almost full capacity ships we are considering cancelling. My husband had a stem cell transplant in October last year and although he is recovering well, he is still on immunosuppressants as well as other medication. He has had three COVId vaccines but we still don’t know what would happen if he caught COVId. We have been so careful here in the UK, going out but only eating in outside restaurants and only going into indoor settings where there are very few people and always wearing a mask. I think a cruise now would not be an enjoyable experience for us. We have only paid a very small deposit but my question is would Celebrity give us the deposit in FCC if we cancelled before the final balance is due?

I have managed to book a 5 night speciality dining package online even though I had already booked a reservation in Murano on the 1st night (with a 30% discount) once onboard I will visit one of the restaurants to cancel the 1st night with the dining package and rebook. Tried calling celebrity but gave up after an hour waiting for the Celebrity UK number to answer.

I suppose that makes sense but a 3pm time did seem strange to me

When I go on the website to book the dining package it has given me a 3pm timeslot on the first day??? Surely they should give me an evening dining time as I may not even be onboard by 3pm!!!

Do I need to complete a passenger locator form for my cruise from the UK on June 3rd On the Sirena? I am a UK fully vaccinated citizen The cruise is visiting Spain and France

Did you have any issues booking Speciality dining and what were those restaurants like for space? My husband is immunosuppressed, having had a stem cell transplant last year so we are concerned regarding safety. We can wear our FFP2 masks ourselves but of course it will depends on others.
