  1. Our balcony cabin on QV on our December cruise was a little tatty. Several scuffs on furniture and chips out of the wardrobe. Also the veranda furniture chairs were peeling and looked old and worn. The public inside areas however were wonderful
  2. We recently cruised on QV in December for 12 nights and found no issues with open dining. We dined both early 6pm, 7pm and once at 8pm and there was never a problem getting a table for 2. There was a small queue a couple of nights but it all seemed to work well. We did miss the familiarity of having the same wait staff each night though. It was interesting to sit in different places on Deck 2 though. A couple of evening we were right at the aft and the view was wonderful.
  3. Thank you. Think we will probably get a taxi. Would like to do a canal ride to see the city.
  4. Arriving on Celebrity Silhouette on June 8th 2023. This will be our first time in Copenhagen. What do you recommend and is it possible to walk there from the cruise terminal Oceankaj C333 or get a taxi? Would prefer to see the sights by ourselves rather than a cruise excursion. Thank you
  5. We were on the last QV cruise and there was considerable vibration in the Britannia Deck 2 restaurant. Also there was quite a lot of rolling on the ship on the Sea days. Would that have been down to the issue with the blade too?
  6. We have booked one of the 2024 Queen Anne cruises in a balcony cabin. Having just returned from a Queen Victoria cruise we think we would prefer Princess Grill. Can we contact our TA who we booked with and upgrade or would we have to cancel and rebook? We are in the UK.

    Covid x 2.

I have just got home from the same QV cruise and have to say we certainly believe that Cunard standards have slipped since our cruise last year. Our cabin on deck 5 was tatty in places. The wardrobes were chipped on the corners with marks on the insides. The balcony furniture had paint peeling all over it and the bathroom shower curtain situation is ridiculous!!! Our cabin steward wasn’t friendly at all. We have had wonderful stewards in the past and I wonder if they are understaffed now. it didn’t feel anywhere near as special as previous Cunard cruises have been. Some of the crew in the Chart Room were less than friendly too.
  8. Let’s hope so. We are currently on QV and the Britannia bathrooms are so small and the shower is very very tight!! changed our next QV cruise to Princess Grill to enjoy a larger cabin and bathroom.
  9. Has anyone seen any renderings of the Britannia bathrooms on QA? I am hoping there will be a proper shower cubicle with a screen rather than a curtain.

    Covid x 2.

They provided shuttle buses today in Malaga from the ship to the city. Heard several passengers questioning whether they should put a mask on to board the shuttle. Apart from being courteous to other passengers and protecting themselves, Spanish rules are to wear masks on all public transport!!! Decided to walk back to the ship….much safer.
  11. What time do you have to vacate your cabins on the last morning?

    Covid x 2.

Currently onboard QV and there is virtually no social distancing or mask wearing. We are using the lifts as little as possible and wearing masks in crowded areas and buffet etc. When we checked in at Southampton no-one asked us to show our proof of COVId Vaccinations nor did they ask us any health related questions!!!! We were quite shocked. Have heard several guests coughing around the ship. Just hoping people are being honest and getting tested or else staying in their cabins. There are lots of elderly and vulnerable guests who really don’t want to catch COVId….mild or not!! For those who have a Cunard upcoming cruise….be warned. There are virtually no health protocols onboard QV.
  13. Thank you Hattie….sounds perfect
  14. So if you decide to have a light breakfast, do they serve pastries etc during the morning? Thank you
  15. I think the Chart Room is the coffee shop onboard. Are there complimentary pastries and cakes if you purchase tea or coffee there?
  16. If we decide that we want to self disembark on our next cruise can anyone tell me the process? Are you given a specific time or do you just get up and go? Is there any provision for breakfast for those disembarking early? At the Mayflower terminal is it relatively easy to get your suitcases off/ are there lifts or escalators in the terminal building?
  17. Our cruise is December 11th to 23rd. Do you think there will be roast goose/turkey on this voyage?
  18. When purchasing items in Gibraltar can you pay in British Pounds or just Euros? If you do pay in pounds do they covert it from euros or are the prices shown in both pounds and euros? Thank you
  19. We are about to embark on our first Christmas voyage with Cunard. can anyone tell me if they have a traditional Christmas meal in the Britannia restaurant maybe in Formal nights? Are there any Christmas themed alternative meals/dishes etc? Thank you
  20. All booked successfully with TA. Got a call this afternoon confirming one of the odd configuration obstructed balcony cabins on Deck 4. Very happy
  21. Yes booked 15th Dec Northern Europe on QA . We also booked one of the odd configuration obstructed view balcony cabins on Deck 4. Will be interesting to see what they are like.
  22. We are on December11th cruise too and cannot locate the Health Declaration Form on My Cunard. Will still do a lateral flow test prior to boarding day
  23. Good advice. Thanks. Pre-registered with a TA and gave cabin number choices so fingers crossed. Much easier than trying to get through direct to Cunard at 1pm tomorrow 😊
  24. Think I will bring an umbrella from home … just in case
