  1. OMG, this is the funniest part of this whole thread! We use the " *.* is so hot right now" meme at work when the boss is really focusing on a specific part of a project and riding us about it and he has no clue! And it changes weekly! Thanks for the chuckle!
  2. It may be smoother as there is a 15 day cruise that started on March 29. So if there are a bunch of people that stayed on the ship after getting into Fort Lauderdale on April 7, that means a lot less folks trying to board. At least that's what I hope!
  3. Day 1 - embark at Fort Lauderdale Day 2 - day at sea Day 3 - Belize Day 4 - Costa Maya Day 5 - Cozumel Day 6 - day at sea Day 7 - disembark at Fort Lauderdale Thanks!
  4. Well that's the problem we're running into. The only sea days are the first and last night.
  5. We will be on the Rotterdam on the 6 night April 7th sailing. We want to book our dinner reservations at Pinnacle, Tamarind and Rudy's but also want to see the shows. Not just the Broadway shows but the Rolling Stone Rock shows. Does anyone know what times these shows are and how often? Are they nightly and are there more than one show per night? The only dinner reservations are around the 8 to 8:30 time slots or later, which are okay with me and my wife, and if they have earlier shows (or later) we can work with that too. Oh, and on a 6 night cruise, when is the "Dressy" night? Thanks in advance
  6. MSC Meraviglia makes an emergency stop in Miami. https://crew-center.com/msc-meraviglia-makes-stop-near-portmiami-due-medical-emergency
  7. I did check all the reviews and found nothing. I may call the excursion company to find out specifics, was just hoping someone here may have happened to go to the same excursion. Thanks
  8. This is all they have and I assume it is a stock photo.
  9. Anyone have an idea where or what the name of this place is? I found it through the Costco Travel shore excursions group but it is very vague and I would rather do research on where I am going rather than just reading a paragraph. Costa Maya Beach Day Make the most of your day in port and enjoy a relaxing day at the beach with this Costa Maya Excursion, it will make all the difference of your visit to the Caribbean. Be taken on a short ride after meeting your Costa Maya tour operator at their office location, to a beautiful, white sandy beach. From the moment you arrive you will feel your cares disappear as you listen to the gentle sound of the waves crashing at the shore. Stake your spot for sunbathing or if you would rather relax under the shade of palm trees, the choice is yours. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are included as well as the restaurant bar which offers all the facilities for your comfort; bar service on the beach so you can enjoy all-you-can-drink open bar, restaurant service on the beach to enjoy the unlimited Mexican snacks and a delicious local dish. Relaxing music fills the air and there is a variety of water sports you can choose from (at your own expense). Some of the water activities you can enjoy are boat rides, fishing, kayaks, paddle boards and of course snorkel tours. You can even elect for a relaxing massage on the beach!
  10. So if I have the premium plus package, I can get a whole bottle of champagne without paying for the bottle or I would have to pay for it? I am very confused by the different packages.
  11. I found this video on Youtube by a blogger about going from NJ to the NY Manhattan cruise port which answered a bunch of questions I had. Specifically abut the ramp to the top of the parking deck and other stuff. I was unaware we parked on the top deck!
  12. I found a video some blogger put out a few weeks ago, showing his trip from NJ to the terminal, it answers a LOT of questions about this port.
  13. I found this video that answers a lot of questions we have.
  14. How soon can one drop their bags off at the terminal on the day of the cruise.
  15. Good points!! There is something to be said about convenience, being right there at the port vs having to walk or take a cab/shuttle or other. Thanks for your reply
  16. Truth in advertising!! Or lack thereof. I did see the note about "oversized" vehicles and wondered if like a Honda CRV or Toyota Rav4 would qualify as "oversized." Thanks for the reply
  17. I would always bring one, just in case. But if it's not required, although their site say it is (I think it' may not be updated), I won't use one, since I just got over it. I agree, don't take the chance if it is required. Thanks for your reply!
  18. Parking at the Manhattan cruise port is expensive. I've searched the Internets and there ARE some other parking lots around the area. One even touts themselves as being directly across the street from the port but when google mapping it, there is a highway in between them and the terminal. What other alternative parking lots, that you have used, that are there that we could utilize within a short walking distance? What was the walk like and how much was it per day? Thanks in advance
  19. Does anyone know if masks are required in the Manhattan cruise terminal prior to boarding the ship? And same with the disembarkation? Their website says so but it may not be updated.
  20. Nothing high end. I am thinking Chinese food or pizza or some place we can get in and out relatively quickly, but no chains. Something that screams New York! Timing is morning to early afternoon, for both pre and post cruise.
  21. What are your favorite pre and post cruise restaurants to go to while in New York City and why? We initially wanted to experience pizza, dim sum, bagels, and a deli or two but feel like we have the time to venture out. So post anything, we are up for a challenge!
  22. I think I found an answer to my own question, which should give us plenty of time at the beginning and end of our cruise to explore some. It wasn't on a part of their website I would think it would be (FAQ's) but it says "Hours Cruise parking opens at 8:00am. Check out at 1:00pm."
  23. So we are cruising out of the Manhattan cruise terminal. We want to explore some restaurants both on the day of our embarkation and our departure. There's two parts to my question(s). 1) If we are able to park early enough, and drop our luggage off, how feasible is it to grab an Uber/Lyft to go to maybe two restaurants that are somewhat close? Looking for bagels at Zabar's and some dim sum. 2) Since we already occupy a spot in the garage when we return, will the parking garage allow us to put our luggage in the car and leave the car there until we finish going to a few more restaurants in the city? I mean, we are paying for the day, why shouldn't we be allowed to do it. I checked their FAQ's and it said nothing and I even tried calling every number listed for the terminal but it seems like they don't have any direct dial numbers to any persons to talk to, goes to a recorded message. or they just don't want to talk to anyone. Thank you in advance!
  24. Does anyone happen to have a wine list from most, if not all of the bars, on board the Breakaway? I want to see which wines are included in the Adult Beverage Package. Thank you in advance
  25. Are they requiring masks while in the cruise terminal? Even if you have a document of recovery from a recent case?
